Welcome to kiki.gay (the "Platform"), operated by the kiki.gay team ("we," "us," "our"). These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and us. By accessing or using the Platform — including the site, apps, waitlist, groups, events listings, and any features we launch — you confirm you've read, understood, and agreed to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Platform.
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us right away at our contact form if you suspect unauthorized access. You're responsible for the accuracy of the info you provide (age, photos, location, and everything on your profile).
Kindness is the standard, not a bonus. You agree NOT to:
Breaking these rules can result in a warning, content removal, temporary suspension, or permanent removal — at our sole discretion, based on severity.
You own your content. Photos, prompts, messages, posts, and event listings remain yours. By posting content to the Platform, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content on the Platform as needed to run it. That license ends when you delete the content (except where copies must remain in backups for a limited period).
You promise your content doesn't violate anyone's rights — including copyright and privacy. If we remove your content for a rules violation, you don't get a do-over; repeated violations get escalating responses.
kiki.gay connects you with real people, and real people are responsible for themselves. Important:

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant the Platform will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that matches, messages, events, or connections will be accurate, safe, or successful.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, kiki.gay, its owners, employees, and affiliates shall NOT be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or emotional distress — arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Platform.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Platform is limited to the greater of (a) $100 USD, or (b) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. This covers everything: dating interactions, community disputes, event attendance, group conversations, data loss, and site outages.
You understand that interactions with other users — online or in person — are solely between you and them. We are not responsible for the conduct, statements, actions, or content of any user of the Platform, at any event, or anywhere else.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your content, or your violation of these Terms or any law.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including certain consumer protections.
Events listed on kiki.gay may be organized by users, community moderators, venues, or us. Unless we explicitly organize an event, we are not the organizer and are not responsible for it. Event details (venue, safety, age requirements, pricing) are supplied by organizers. Attend at your own discretion; ticket purchases happen between you and the organizer unless stated otherwise.
The Platform may link to or integrate third-party websites and services (payment processors, maps, ticketing). Those are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We're not responsible for their content, availability, or practices.
You can close your account at any time from settings or by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately, without notice, if you break these Terms, create risk for us or other users, or if required by law. Sections 5, 7, and this section 10 survive account closure.
We may update these Terms as the Platform grows. Material changes will be announced on the Platform (or by email to registered users). Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. The "last updated" date at the top always tells you which version is live.
These Terms are governed by the laws of our operating jurisdiction (to be finalized before launch), without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be handled per the dispute resolution process published at launch.
